- A signed address certificate with photo, issued by an MP, MLA, Gazetted Officer, or Tehsildar
Address Correction Using a Family Member's Aadhaar (HOF-based)
If you don't have an independent address proof in your own name — common for spouses, children, or elderly parents living with family — UIDAI allows an address update using the Head of Family (HOF)'s Aadhaar as the reference document instead. This is commonly used when:
- A father's Aadhaar address is used to update the mother's and children's Aadhaar
- A husband's Aadhaar address is used to update the wife's Aadhaar
- An adult son or daughter's (18+) Aadhaar address is used to update aged parents' Aadhaar
